Mikhail Kononov and art collector Roger Washington.

The first paintings Mikhail Kononov made in the United States featured scenes of  Washington DC. They were inspired by the beauty of the Potomac River and the charm of Georgetown.

In the fall of 2007, these works were included in an art event organized by artlover and collector Roger Washington. The show united several artists and so provided an excellent introduction of Mikhail Kononov to the Capital’s art world.
