On October 30, 2014, Mikhail Kononov’s exhibition „Neue Farben“ – „New Paintings” opened at the Froschaugasse in the center of Zurich’s scenic Old Town. Attracted by the colorful, bright and lively pictures, a surprisingly large group of people quickly filled the gallery’s two floors. Vivid discussions of the paintings arose, while two professional musicians charmed the visitors with wonderful Russian songs. The evening turned into a joyful party for old and new friends, family and many admirers of art from Zurich and abroad. The children who were present enlivened the party by playing and dancing. Of a large supply of fine Russian snacks, very little remained. Even people who happened to pass by the Froschaugasse were spontaneously drawn into the gallery and expressed delight at the fine art they discovered.
